Creating Brushes in Photoshop

Create 5 brushes to use in the next drawing........

You could draw your own patterns for the brushes OR you can select parts of images and drawings.

I created one from Durer's prints, because they had wonderful patterns.....

To make brushes in Photoshop, follow these steps:

Create a pattern or place an image into a Photoshop layer

Select what you want to turn into a brush....

Choose the "Define brush preset" command...

NAME IT, TOO

*BONUS, use filters on the pattern or image before making a brush to add to the effect.
