DEGAS' use of "Broken Color"

Another master of color in drawing, Edgar Degas used pastels on these images of dancers and women.
Look how he has LAYERED up the colors to make a shimmering quality.

Consider copying his mark making techniques... lines, cross hatch, dots, and other layering techniques...
